Distributed key-value data storage with open source code. With standard behavior, Elliptics is a classic DHT (distributed hash table). It does not require special control nodes, so it does not contain any single points of failure. Elliptics lets you distribute data across an unlimited number of replicas and several datacenters. In this context, a “replica” is a group that makes up a DHT ring with a range of keys from 0 to 2512. The P2P protocol is used for transport. In addition, Elliptics supports full-fledged server-side scripting (in Python, JavaScript, and C++) based on the Cocaine technology.
