TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Information – the geographic information provided within the scope of the Services through the system (GIS) “Yandex Map of the Russian Federation territory”, “Yandex Map of the CIS territory (Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Estonia, Latvia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan)”, “Yandex Map of the Turkish territory”, “Yandex Map of the French territory”, duly licensed by Yandex.
Geocoder – a service, the functional purpose of which is to determine the coordinates and obtain information about the object by its name or address, as well as determining the address of the object on the map by its coordinates (reverse geocoding).
Query – a query to the Services through the Platform, including geocoding, routing and displaying panoramas. At the same time, one query to the Services through the Platform, except for the displaying panoramas, shall equal to one Query, and one query to the Services through the Platform, which includes only displaying panoramas shall be equal to five Queries.
Router – a service, the functional purpose of which is to build routes between different coordinates and/or points on the map, taking into account traffic and without. At the same time, access to the Router by the “client – server” model allows to receive Information about routes by car, public transport and pedestrian routes, and access to the Router by the “server – server” model allows to receive Information only about routes by car.
Panoramas player – a service, the functional purpose of which is to display spherical panoramas on the pages of the site. The program allows to display as a panorama of Yandex, and its own spherical panoramas of the Customer.
Platform – a set of services Yandex Maps API (which is a derived version of Yandex JavaScript API Maps), Geocoder, Router, Panoramas player.
1 SUBJECT OF THE TERMS
1.1. According to the Terms Yandex hereby provides the Customer with the Services by providing the Information through the Platform during the Service Term in the following ways:
1.1.1. generate Queries in order to obtain Information for its further display on the Customer’s own website or application and the ability to display its own data on the background of the specified Information image obtained through the Platform;
1.1.2. make available the Information obtained through the Platform to the public, including the closed systems of the Customer, access to which is limited;
1.1.3. save (cache) the results of the Geocoder's response to Queries (coordinates, address, information about the object) and the results of the Router's response to Queries (routed between objects) on the Customer's servers solely in order to improve the performance of the Customer’s internal systems using the Information either: a) temporarily, for up to thirty (30) calendar days, or b) for the indefinite period of time, depending on the Fee type specified in Table 1 and Table 2 below.
1.2. The Customer shall use the Platform according to its functional purpose. The Customer shall not save and store the results of the Geocoder's responses to Queries (coordinates, address, information about the object) and the results of the Router's Responses to Queries (routed between objects) on the Customer's servers, except as described in Clause 1.1.3 hereof.
2 OBLIGATIONS OF THE CUSTOMER
2.1. The Customer shall:
2.1.1. Use Services, including geocoding, routing, and paneling functions of the Platform only for the site or application of the Customer. If Customer uses Panoramas player as well as a part of the Platform, the Customer has the right to process the received data only for the purposes of displaying it within the Platform;
2.1.2. Use the two latest current versions of modern browsers to work with the Information and the Platform for the purpose of Services provision. In case the Customer does not use such, Yandex does not guarantee optimal performance of the service and Services provision;
2.1.3. Use the latest version of the update Platform;
2.1.4. Do not to remove, change the order or sorting, hide and/or modify the Information obtained through the Platform, the other information received, including, but not limited to, promotional materials, trademarks, logos, links or other references to copyright holders, as well as any other notices and/or information transmitted by the Platform together with the Information.
