You can use the Static API to get an image of part of the map and show it on a website or in an app. A static image loads quickly, even with a slow internet connection.

How it works

The Static API returns an image of the map in response to an HTTPS request. You can append parameters and values to the URL in order to set the map center, size, and viewport, add placemarks, and show traffic. Data is updated for each request, so the map is always current.
