Introduction

The Yandex.Passport API allows developers of websites and web applications to uniquely identify Yandex users. This means the developer can personalize the content or application interface shown to a user.

The username and unique Yandex ID are available for any valid Yandex OAuth token. Using the Yandex.Passport API to log in via Yandex is described in the format of a typical authentication scenario.

To request personal information about a user, you need to get an OAuth token with permissions to access the Yandex.Passport API. You can request the following data:

  • First and last name

  • Nickname

  • Gender

  • Date of birth

  • Email address

  • Profile picture
