To monetize Turbo pages, you can add Yandex advertising network blocks or ads from other systems using ADFOX.

Ad blocks can be placed on the pages manually or using automatic placement.

When using automatic placement, the number of ads and the best places are chosen automatically depending on the page length.

Manual configuration
For manual placement, specify the ad location in the RSS feed using the figure element:
<figure data-turbo-ad-id="first_ad_place"></figure>
data-turbo-ad-id
The turbo-ad-id ad unit ID specified in the turbo:adNetwork element or on the Turbo pages → Settings page in Yandex.Webmaster.

Select the error that occurred:
If the feed loaded with the “No errors” status but the Turbo pages didn't appear in search, follow these steps:
Step 1. Make sure that the Turbo pages don't appear in the search
Perform a mobile search site:<site URL> and check the results. If the output contains pages with the icon, that means the Turbo pages are generated and displayed.
Step 2. Make sure that the Turbo pages aren't filtered out
Make sure that there are no critical errors for your site on the Turbo pages → Diagnostics page. If there are errors, you need to fix them taking into account the content requirements.
Step 3. Check that the main pages are included in search
Turbo pages are generated only for the pages that are included in search. Therefore, the page URL in the RSS feed must match the page URL in the search. If the links are different, Turbo pages won't be displayed.
  1. Make sure that the pages you send in your feed are included in search and that their URLs match. When comparing links, pay attention to:
    • The protocol.
    • If there is www.
    • If there is a slash at the end of the link.
  2. If the addresses match, perform a mobile search url:<page URL>, where URL of the page is any URL specified in the RSS feed.
    • If the page is not in the search results, find out the reason using the Check URL status tool in Yandex.Webmaster.
    • If the page is in the search results, contact support using the form below. Include the example page in your message.

During processing Yandex.Webmaster validates the RSS feed content to make sure that it meets the following requirements:
A Turbo page must include all content that is on the main page
For example, if the main page contains headings, lists, images, embedded social content, on the the Turbo page they should be styled exactly the same. Duplication or omission of a part of the main content is not permitted.
The Turbo page must fully repeat the structure of the main page
For example, if the main page text is divided in paragraphs, they must be formatted exactly the same.
The turbo page can't contain validation errors or HTML elements that are not supported by Turbo pages.
You can validate the RSS feed using Debug.
If these requirements are not met, the Turbo pages are filtered out and excluded from search results after three days. Instead of them, common or mobile page versions will be displayed instead.

If the error appears for pages that were generated with the CMS plugin, contact the plugin support service. Report the error that occurred and specify why incomplete content is sent to the feeds.

Note. To contact the support service, you need to add your site and verify your rights to manage it in Yandex.Webmaster.

What is the difference between RSS and YML?
You can use two sources to generate Turbo-pages: the RSS feed or YML file. The choice of the source depends on the type of your site. If you have a media site, use the RSS feed. For an online store, use a YML file. Read more about turning on Turbo pages in the instructions for online stores and for media sites.
Note. If your site contains both page types, you can use both types of sources.
Depending on the source type, different views of Turbo pages are formed:
From the RSS feed
Media view with all available content.

Turbo pages were generated for my site, how can I turn them off?

For some sites, Turbo pages can be generated automatically with Autoparsing.

If you got a message about Turbo pages generation in Yandex.Webmaster, it means that they were generated for you automatically. This doesn't mean they are displayed in search instead of the common ones. Turbo pages can only be turned on in Yandex.Webmaster. If you didn't turn them on, then you don't need to turn them off. For more information, see Autoparsing algorithm and turning on Turbo pages.

Why is my feed processed for so long?
Large feeds may take more than 2 hours to process due to the high load on robot. If your feed is processed for more than 5 hours, let us know about it through the feedback form.
I turned on Turbo pages but can't find them in search. What should we do?

Turbo pages are generated only for pages that have common versions included in the search. Therefore, the page URL in the RSS feed must match the page URL in the search. If the links are different, Turbo pages won't be displayed. The statistics on the sent pages will be displayed without errors.

Make sure that the pages you send in your feed are included in search and that their URLs match. When comparing links, pay attention to:
  • The protocol.
  • If there is www.
  • If there is a slash at the end of the link.
I turned off Turbo pages, but still find them in search. What should we do?

To turn Turbo pages off, send the item element with the turbo="false" attribute in the RSS feed and the URL of the page for which you want to disable the display of the Turbo version. The page URL in the RSS feed must match the one in the search. If the links are different, the Turbo pages will continue to be displayed in search results.

Make sure that the pages you send in your feed are included in search and that their URLs match. When comparing links, pay attention to:
  • The protocol.
  • If there is www.
  • If there is a slash at the end of the link.
