Adding InStream video ads

InStream is a video ad shown in the video player. For more information, see the Yandex Advertising Network and Adfox help.

Note. The InStream video ads are shown only in the video transmitted in the figure element. Ads are not displayed in videos from external resources.

Follow these steps to enable ads:

Step 1. Create an ad block

Note. A default block is added to Turbo pages:

Block type: mid-roll. Displayed during the video playback.
Start: from the 10th second.
Cycle: every 10 minutes, up to 100 repetitions.

To create an InStream block, contact YAN support service. In your message, tell us that you want to create InStream video ads for Turbo pages. Provide your username in Yandex Advertising Network and the domain.

When your message is processed, you will receive an email with the Page ID. Use it when connecting.

Note. A default block is added to Turbo pages:

Block type: mid-roll. Displayed during the video playback.
Start: from the 10th second.
Cycle: no repetition.

In Adfox, create a platform for Turbo pages.
Create an InStream block. In the site settings, choose the InStream Turbo banner type.
Copy the embed code starting with the div element.

Where do I find the embed code?
Go to the Sites → Embed code tab.

Copy the code starting from the div element.

Step 2. Activate and check

To add the InStream block:

Go to the Turbo pages for content sites → Settings → Advertising page in Yandex.Webmaster and scroll to the General settings section.
In the Ads in videos (InStream blocks) block, click Add and choose the ad block type.
Depending on the block type, enter the block ID in the YAN field or the embed code in the Adfox field.
Save your changes.
Wait about an hour and check the block display on the real Turbo page. InStream doesn't appear in sample Turbo pages.
