History of changes to the API
The current REST version of the Yandex.Disk API is version 1. The API is fully backward-compatible between versions.

Removed the restriction on the
Origin
header when uploading a file to Yandex.Disk. Now you can pass this header with any value when directly uploading a file to storage.

For all requests that return a link to an image file preview: the reduced-size image can now be automatically cropped to a square by using the preview_crop parameter.
Metainformation for a file or folder can be supplemented with custom string attributes.
The API can be used for downloading a file to Yandex.Disk from the internet.
Data about a user's Disk now includes addresses of system folders.
